杜甫（712—770），字子美，自号少陵野老，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，与李白合称“李杜”。原籍湖北襄阳，后徙河南巩县。
DU Fu (712-770), Zimei by courtesy name and Shaoling Old & Lone Master of None by literary name, born in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. Later he moved to Gongxian County, Henan Province. Du, a great realistic poet in the Tang dynasty, and Li Bai were jointly known as “Li-Du”. (马宝燕译)
The wind rash, the sky high, apes sadly cry;
Shoal clear, sand white, the birdies back home soar.
The endless forest leaves sough and sough down;
The boundless Long waters wave by wave pour.
Myriad miles of sad autumn see me a guest;
Oft sick in old age, a mound I climb up.
In hardship and grief my white hair I hate;
Down and out, I’ve recently quit my wine cup.
